Reading for Information

Sheri Payne so generously has helped our new co-op learn about Socratic Discussion, and how done correctly, can help lead our young adults into learning to evaluate what they read, hear and experience Biblicaly.  But in order to discuss, you first need to understand the information.

At the Dialectic stage, much is about making connections.  Careful reading and reading to understand now take precedence over simple reading for fun, though there should be plenty of that too! To that end, Sheri wrote a great blog post to give a simple, straight-forward explanation on how to help our middle school aged children to do that.  For some it comes almost naturally, but almost anyone can use a bit of guidance and encouragement in this area!
